Benign fibroadenoma ultrasound. Unlike a cyst, a fibroadenoma (solid benign breast tumor) has internal echoes or dots on ultrasound. Unfortunately, ultrasound is not 100% accurate in distinguishing between fibroadenoma and breast cancer, and a biopsy may be needed.
