What is ASRT?

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists represents more than 156,000 members who perform medical imaging and radiation therapy procedures. Founded in 1920, the Society is the largest radiologic science association in the world. Its mission is to advance and elevate the medical imaging and radiation therapy profession and enhance quality, safe patient care.

ASRT offers resources, including continuing education, leadership programs and study resources, for career growth and development. Member volunteers shape the profession through their work on practice standards, governance and program curricula. ASRT also spearheads advocacy efforts and monitors state and federal legislation that could impact the profession.

The Society also publishes two peer-reviewed scientific journals, houses the ASRT Museum and Archives and raises awareness about the profession through a variety of public awareness activities. ASRT is a leading health care association and the premier professional association for the medical imaging and radiation therapy community.
